Brandon Baldock

Laura Anderson
Laura rejoined the MCMS Board in 2014 after a one year absence, having held the role of President from 2006 through 2013. Laura and her husband, Scott have three MCMS graduates, Brendan, in his second year at Marquette University, Sam, a senior, and Philip, a sophomore, in high school. Laura earned a BBA in marketing and management and an MS in marketing research from UW-Madison. Prior to raising a family, she worked in the financial services and agrichemical industries. Madison has been home for 10 years but she was introduced to Montessori education while living in Ohio. There she assisted in a lower elementary classroom as well as served in a leadership role in the school’s Family Connections organization.  

Brandon Baldock

Brandon Baldock
Brandon joined the MCMS Board in 2012. He and his wife, Jen, are the parents of three MCMS students, Maggie, Ella, and Owen. Brandon studied at Luther College and Arizona State University and holds a master’s degree in mathematics. He is currently a product manager at Epic, a healthcare software company, where he has worked since 1998.

Brandon Baldock

Wade Fransson
Joining the Board in 2013, Wade manages technology vendor contracts and relationships for Kohl's. He holds a master's in business administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, and has focused on the integration of technology into business strategy and operations. Past experience includes vendor management for CUNA Mutual Group and strategic planning for Countrywide's Administration and Real Estate (CARE) division. Wade has lived in several different countries and is fluent in German, French and Swedish. Prior to his corporate career, Wade worked in the non-profit sector and taught fourth and fifth grade for two years at a private school. Wade is also a published author, and the father of two children who attend MCMS. 

Erin Freiberg

Erin Freiberg
Board Member since 2011 and current President, Erin is the mother of three children at MCMS (Grace in Upper Elementary, Ben in Lower Elementary, and Isaac in Children's House). She has a bachelor's in history from Messiah College in Pennsylvania, and a JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Erin has a private law practice focusing on estate planning and general business law. 

Justin Harkins

Justin Harkins
Board member since 2012, Justin has two sons who attend MCMS - one in Upper Elementary and another in Lower Elementary. He holds a bachelor's in electrical engineering from the UW-Madison and is currently a director for a group of companies in energy conservation and renewable energy industry. Justin and his wife also operate a business that imports Montessori and other educational materials into Japan, where they have helped to open new Montessori Children's Houses.

Dagny Knight

Dagny Knight
Board member since 2013 and current Board Secretary, Dagny and her husband, Michael, have two children at MCMS (Jack, in the Adolescent Program and Ellery, in Upper Elementary). Dagny attended a Montessori school through the primary program in the Chicago suburbs where she grew up. She has lived in the Madison area since 1987, where she earned both a bachelor's and a master's in nursing from the University of Wisconsin. Currently, Dagny divides her time between managing a busy family and learning to be an aquaponics farmer.

 

Kathy Maher

Kathy Maher
Kathy joined the Board in 2014 and is the current chair of the Finance Committee. Kathy has a bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University and is licensed as a certified public accountant in Wisconsin, Missouri & Colorado. She is currently a manager within the assurance department at McGladrey, a leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market. Prior to joining McGladrey, she worked for a regional firm in St. Louis, Missouri and Denver, Colorado. She participated in a civic leadership program while in Denver and assisted the Mile High Montessori Centers (Denver’s oldest and largest provider of subsidized quality early childhood care and education) with implementing their Gardening 4 Growth program. She is currently enrolled in a similar leadership program through the Madison Chamber of Commerce called Leadership Greater Madison and volunteers with the Junior League of Madison.


Teri Meyer

Teri Meyer
Teri joined the Board as an alumni parent in 2013. She and her husband, Luis Pinero, have one son, Emilio, who attended MCMS and graduated from the Adolescent Program in 2011. Teri has a bachelor's from Marquette University and a master's degree in nursing from UW-Madison. She has 35 years of experience working with children and their families. She is currently a clinical nurse specialist and case manager at the American Family Children's Hospital in Madison. She is also a member of the Building and Grounds committee at MCMS.

Nancy Viscovich

Nancy Viscovich
Joining the Board in 2013, Nancy and her husband, James, have two children who are MCMS students, James and Marissa. Nancy studied at the City University of New York, completing a Ph.D. program in clinical psychology, with a specialty in neuropsychology. She completed her residency through the Harvard-Longwood residency program and is currently a pediatric neuropsychologist at the Dean clinic - Fish Hatchery, where she has worked since 2005.

 

Michelle Wallach

Michelle Wallach
Michelle has been a board Member since 2013 and is the current chair of the Development Committee. Michelle and her husband, Daniel, have two children at MCMS (Sam in Lower Elementary, and Noah in Upper Elementary). Michelle holds a bachelor's degree in voice, a certificate in Jewish studies from UW-Madison, and an associate's degree in medical assisting from Herzing University. A former preschool teacher, Michelle is currently a pediatric CMA with the UW Medical Foundation.

 

Dorothy Zografi

Dorothy Zografi
Dorothy graduated with a bachelor's in education from State University of New York at Oswego in 1957 and went on to teach fourth grade in the Michigan public schools from 1957-1960. After several years at home raising four children, Dorothy returned to school, attending Midwest Montessori Institute and received her AMI primary certification. At MCMS, she was a children's house guide from 1978-1989, Head of School from 1984-2006 and on the Board as Head of School Emeritus since 2007. Dorothy's daughter, Anna is also an AMI trained guide who has been a teacher at MCMS since 1993. Dorothy also has one granddaughter, who still attends MCMS, and two grandsons, who attended MCMS for 11 years and are now in high school.
