MCMS is seeking an experienced teacher to join our adolescent program (7th and 8th grade) starting this fall (August 22-June 12). Our ideal candidate will have, or be willing to, attend the Montessori adolescent teacher training (https://www.greatworkinc.org/orientations-2019/2019/6/30/hershey-school-huntsburg-ohio). This is a generalist position, which means we are looking for someone with a wide range of skills, and great comfort in teaching all areas of the curriculum (a strong background in language arts is preferred). In addition to all of the typical requirements and responsibilities of co-teaching, this position also includes a number of off-campus/overnight experiences.
MCMS is always seeking qualified substitute teachers to join our sub pool to assist in programs from toddler through junior high (ages 15 months – 14 years). The ideal candidate has some experience working with children of all ages. Montessori knowledge and experience are a big plus: an interest in learning about Montessori education is a must! Candidates should possess self-direction, patience, flexibility, a positive outlook, and the ability to collaborate with others.
