Our school year generally starts in early September and continues through the second week of June. There is an orientation for new students the week before school begins each year, and new toddler and preschool students are phased in over the first two weeks of the school year. (See Calendar)

Applications for new children are welcome at any time and are processed on a first come, first served basis, with consideration for enrollment guidelines. Children may enter the program throughout the school year as space permits.

Families interested in learning more about our school and about Montessori education can watch the videos below and visit the following pages on our website:

Starting in mid-October, a Parent Visitor Day is held most Wednesday and Thursday mornings, beginning at 8:30am and lasting approximately 90 minutes (this visit is intended for adults only, so that visiting parents have the time and attention to devote to learning about MCMS, and also to avoid disrupting classrooms in session). We consider this a very important step in helping you to make a well-informed decision when choosing a school for your child; applications for admission are only available at the end of this visit to the school. To schedule a visit, please visit our Admissions Process page for more information.

We also hold Open House events throughout the year, typically in November, January and March. In addition, interested families are invited to attend other informational events throughout the year. Watch our calendar or call for exact dates.

MCMS does not discriminate in its admission policy or in employment on the basis of family structure, age, race, ethnicity, color, gender, creed, disability, political persuasion, national origin or ancestry, sexual orientation, military service, or organizational membership, or any other status protected by law.
